I think MySpace is just going to age my face. The amount of time I spend on the profile song selection alone is ridiculous and my brow gets all furrowed while I do it and basically, I don’t want the wrinkles to happen that way because that’s not natural. But my profile song is pretty awesome right now so maybe that permanent crease across my forehead was worth it.
Also, if I add people on MySpace and they add me back, shouldn’t I be the one thanking THEM for not leaving me hanging and feeling like a loser vs. THEM thanking ME for pestering them for the add? I’m not complaining or anything and I’m kind of happy it IS that way because it sort of saves me the time of having to go, ‘thanks for not leaving me hanging and feeling like a loser,’ but still, does this not strike anyone else as backwards? I think it’s backwards.
Or maybe I AM supposed to be thanking people for thanking me for adding them. If I am, I’ve really fallen down on the job. idk.
I just spent the last hour getting caught up on blogs so probably email will happen next but right now I’m tired. My iPod shuffle is determined to make me sad. Also, I stubbed my toe at my cleaning job the other day and it was pretty painful. Like, there was blood and everything! I’ve also decided to embrace the arms I’ve spent my entire life hiding from the general public because it is too hot out for sleeves. That Mother Nature, always forcing you to love yourself. Oh, and my new website will be relaunching sometime this week. So you should probably mark your calendar with stars, keep a browser of my site up, call in at work and sit at your computer clicking refresh over and over again until the change happens. But don’t eat or drink anything while you’re waiting because that will ruin the anticipation.

Twitter is fun.
And my anti-spam word is: ooo.
How weird
you answered my twitter question as i was taking it down! THAT IS OBVIOUSLY A SIGN I NEED TO GET ONE.
I draw the line at twitter. I haven’t even been there, but I have a limit and it’s somewhere behind me.
I had to back off Myspace too…after I realized how many hours of my life I was dedicating to finding the profile song I got depressed.
Oh, and I have legs that should never be seen by nature – or anyone breathing. Seriously, I have only worn long pants or skirts for at least a decade. But maybe we could put my arms with your legs and swap heads every other week…would that work? Ah nevermind, I just realized my arms match my legs!
I think the thing I like *most* about MySpace is the profile song feature (and I just checked and you’re right, your profile song right now is very cool).
I look forward to the website! I will refresh in between bouts of copy editing. Speaking of copy editing, do you have issues with toward/towards? Every one of my “towards” is marked to lose its “s”. Those crazy, crazy Yanks!
Oh my God, I actually got tg4e as my anti-spam word! That’s the first time it’s happened!!! Anyway…I am excited for your new site launch! And we always knew MySpace is the devil and now we know why – it causes premature wrinkling!
Emily: I am weak! I totally joined twitter… are you SURE you draw the line there? Mwahahaha. It’s funnn!!! Join ussss!! ;) You know, we could TRY this arm/leg swap. If it doesn’t work, we could just change back. :)
CK: There is nothing more satisfying than getting the song selected but the time, oh the time! Ooh, good luck with teh copyedits!! I think I did have the toward/s issue–I can’t remember. I think it might’ve unevenly popped up because I remember being aware of that difference as I was writing. Ah, American spelling! Everyone knows towards needs the S. (Also: SO JEALOUS OF THE LEONARD COHEN CONCERT!!!)
Lori: !!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING MY WHOLE LIFE FOR YOU TO GET THAt WORD. *tears*
You would’ve loved the concert, Courtney! I was in so much awe; I could hardly believe I was seeing him sing live. Mind you, my seats were so far away that that I couldn’t make out his face…but still awesome!
I’ve made a stand for Canada by stetting all my S’s on towards. First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin…
Courtney, I am SO SORRY to hear about your grandpa. Really. And even more sorry that I have been crap at keeping up to date with your blog so that this ‘sorry’ is late and crap. I hope you and your family are coping okay, it’s such a horrible shock to lose someone unexpectedly.
Am so looking forward to seeing your new site, luckily I can sit at work refreshing constantly! xxxx
CK: Still! He played Take This Waltz! That must’ve been AMAZING. Oh, man. Have you heard Patricia O’Callaghan’s cover of it? It’s really lovely. & Ahaha, WIELD THE POWER OF THE STET1
Fiona: Thank you so much, that means a lot. And you have a lot going on right now, Mom-to-be!!! So don’t worry about it. PS I am so excited and happy for you. :)
Damn you, Courtney…typing over to twitter…
P.S. OMG, I’m so honored to be on your blogroll! Wow! It’s like I’m on the walk of fame – listed right alongside Miss Snark and the Westerblog. :D
I <3 you!!
