Ooh, I am totally putting "the life before her eyes" on my list. Thanks for the rec!

And AAAH creeeeeeeeepppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee is the word for it! Oh my gosh--that's totally freaky. I like to pretend I'd be brave enough to stick around for these kind of things, but I'd totally be the hole through the wall too if it were me. The only reason I wasn't in my case was that I didn't know I was alone!!

Hecks-to-the-yeah ghostiness yay! My novel is a total ghost-fest. I can't get enough. You're right about j-horror, they've raised the bar-- although if you want to check out a different take on the ghost angle and see one that's just really clever and engrossing check out "the life before her eyes."

I had one of those ghosts pretending to be someone's dad upstairs experiences too, but this one opened the giant, heavy, creaking front door, thumped upstairs, and imitated her dad clearing his throat perfectly (it had been known to imitate the family's voices too, as in, "Janet, can you come up here?") When we determined we were alone in the house with a ghost I left one of those person shaped holes in her wall and waited in the car. I never went back unless a bunch of people were home. creeeeeeepeeeeeeee...

Whitney: My scary scene strategies are to WATCH THEM KIND OF THROUGH MY EYES and then rewind it and JUST TAKING IT. When I first watched One Missed Call, I didn't look at the screen but the sounds scared me even more so I had to go back and watch and just be scared on a full level. I'm fake tough. sigh. EDWARD IS NOT SCARED! HE IS A VAMPIRE CAT. WATCH YOURSELVES. O_O

Sandmore: Both! They are both very good at making bread, I have to say.

When you said your dad makes the best bread in the entire world, did you mean your real dad or your ghost dad?

what are your scary scene strategies? cover your eyes, cover your ears, throw a blanket over your head, etc? because right now I just envision you TAKING IT. like on your couch, watching J-Horror and just taking the scariness. you so tough.

~*sparkle on*~

PS: Edward was outside this morning and he O_O at me. Sean was like, "No he didn't, he's just scared of us" and then we broke up for a minute.

Ula: I REALLY HAVE! Takashi Miike did One Missed Call, and it just blew me away. I really loved listening to him talk about how he directs and stuff on the DVD. Though, I am totally debating whether or not I could stomach Audition because I ran over the plot on wikipedia and the vomit thing might be impossible for me to take. I began it but I wasn't brave enough to finish it!! BUT KEEP UP THE RECS! Eee!

Susan: YAY GHOSTINESS INDEED! Ooh, I have always wanted to write a ghost story but I just don't have the head for it but I greatly admire people who do. YOU ARE NOW AMONG THEM! Woot.

Sruble: No prob! They are really the sweetest things ever! Very good natures, patient and just fantastic little friends. We have three of them! :)

Oh, and forgot to mention that I love your ghost story too!

I love ghost stories so much I wrote a whole ghost BOOK. Sadly, it needs more work. *frown* But still, ghostiness, yay!
