My second guest blog is up on The Swivet. It’s about how rejection can be a positive thing. Even heartbreaking rejections from Jeff Probst. Check it out!
The election results were an unsurprising disappointment and that is all I will say about that. The most exciting part about Tuesday was when I walked up the hill to the voting station with my family and realized just how out of shape I was. Oh my God, people. I should really do something about that.
Last week, my family and I checked out the local fall scenery which was pretty awesome. I took a million pictures and vowed not to share any until I had the bulk of them digitally post-processed and could make some kind of blog entry picture show, but I haven’t had the time because I am a time management FAILURE, so here are three!
How about them fall colours, huh?
I can’t remember if I said this, but I am working on my third book while I whip the second into shape. This is sort of daunting and also exciting because I’ve never really worked on multiple projects at once. I mean, without failing horribly. This time around, I fully intend to pwn, though, so that’s good (ha ha ha!). But it occurred to me that BOOK 3 NEEDS A RIDICULOUS WORKING TITLE for my blog. I considered passing Your Mom onto it, but YOUR MOM’S BEEN DONE, so I brainstormed and here are the contenders for my new ridiculous working title. Help me make my choice:
Your Dad
Your Sister
~*Sparklepants*~
Bessie
I don’t know. They all seem sort of vaguely uninspired, don’t they? I mean, maybe I should just let the good thing have its day, give up on the ridiculous working titles and call it the name I’ve graced the word document: book3. How compelling is that?! I would say it is more compelling than ~*RPATTZ*~’s sexy ridiculous hair and sexy movie star glasses, both of which he was wearing in third and final Twilight trailer, which OH MY GOD YOU GUYS IT WAS SO HOT I COULD CLIFF-DIVE TO SHOW YOU HOW COMMITTED I AM TO SEEING THAT MOVIE.
See see see!!!
DID YOU SEE HIS HAIR AND HIS GLASSES (0:53!). AND ALSO HIS MAD FALLING APPLE CATCHING SKILLS. I feel so faint from the sexy. If I do not walk out of that movie thoroughly dazzled and blinded by the vampire sparkles (which I hope will be done with CGI and I want them to be REALLY HUGE so Edward looks like ONE BIG GIANT WALKING SPARKLE), I am writing an angry letter to Summit Entertainment.
Sometimes I pity my sister, who I am taking to this ~*sparkly vampire movie*~ affair because all she will hear through the whole thing is one long continuous EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE from the person sitting next to her (aka me).

I vote ~*Sparklepants*~.
I particularly like Robbie ~*Sparklepants*~, now that I think about it.
On the working title — as boring as it is I’d probably just go with #3 or something for the blog because even though it may have sort of a working title for you, that usually changes as the project goes along right? #3 may be boring, but in a way not because it’s so wide open. — Maybe you could do a subtitle– “#3– sparklepants runs amok” or something… which could change along the way (???????)
Your pics are gorgeous. Love the old barn.
I’m also way too excited to see the movie (for a grown-up).
I suggest: Your Little Sister.
Heuh.
Amazing Photos!!! I love them, and it’s so cool to see the black and white. I love color, but everything is color these days, so the b/w really stands out. Plus I live in the city, so it’s nice to see no people.
Sorry the election didn’t work out. That sucks.
“I am a time management FAILURE”
Um yeah, me too, BIG TIME.
I like the working title ~*Sparklepants*~ best, then Bessie, because that’s a cow name. ;) Since I don’t know what the book is about, I can’t suggest other names yet.
Thanks, now I want to see the movie, even though I don’t like the choice for Edward. He doesn’t seem big enough, or his hair dark enough. I can’t remember the exact description she had of him when Bella first saw Edward, but it doesn’t fit w/what’s in my head.
But I still want to see the movie, thanks to you! I bet DH won’t want to see it. Maybe you could come to NY to watch the movie with me? :0)
I kind of like the sound of ~*Sparklepants*~ but book3 works just as well. Fantastic blog entry at The Swivet :)
The trailer does look amazing. I am also very excited about it!!! :)
Briony: Omg. Robbie ~*Sparklepants*~… GENIUS!
Pseudosu: Hah! Love that, ‘sparklepants runs amok’–now that paints a picture, doesn’t it?! & thank you! when you see the movie you must let me ~*know what you think*~. I will be collecting Twilight movie opinions. Just because.
Anthony: Little sisters always get picked on tho! I would know, as I am one.
Sruble: Thank you re: photos and TIME MANAGEMENT FAILURES REPRESENT! Maybe we can start a club? And the working title can be as far removed as from what the books about as possible. Just so long as it sounds ridiculous or can become a joke! Aaah, I can’t wait for the movie! Since I hadn’t read the books prior to the movie being casted, I’m totally okay with Edward. I’ll totally travel down to NY and we can see it. ;)
CK: Another vote for ~*Sparklepants*~ hee. And thank you!
Starrynite: IT’S GOING TO BE AWESOME, I BET! eee.
Actually, I change my vote.
Revenge of The Killer ~*Sparklepants*~
*cracks up*
I know there are going to be certain ~*biases*~ in your voting population that might, uh, ~*sway*~ your decision, but OMG seriously, CALL IT BESSIE. Please. I LOLed.
I don’t know from Twilight, but I think the working title I would use for Book #3 is simple but oh-so-right:
TRIPLE AWESOME
1. It’s the third book.
2. Judging from CUTB, it’s likely to be awesome.
Your honor, no more witnesses.
Why don’t you give Book 3 the working title of EDWARD?
Yay, Courtney’s coming to NY! ;)
I’ll totally be in your club, after I get back from apple picking. I think I’ll post a working title question on my blog and get input for fun working titles, or not. I think I might need my working title to keep on track this time. But next time? Totally doing the insanely fun title.
Think of the possibilities!
“I took apart the middle of YOUR LITTLE SISTER last night. Trust me, she is much better for it. I think.”
“Today I had to beat YOUR LITTLE SISTER into submission.”
“I was up all night with YOUR LITTLE SISTER in bed. We had a ~*marvelous*~ time!”
A.: Maybe I could compromise and call it ~*Bessie*~? :D
TKT: Aw, shucks. You’re too kind, sir! It might look a tad ego of me too. ;)
Daisy: OR! ~*Edward*~
sruble: We will have a grand time! And yay apple picking! Saw your blog entry, I’m thinking on working titles for you!!
Anthony: On behalf of little sisters everywhere… I’m gonna have to say no!!
OMG, I love that tree! Wow, wow, wow!! I have a serious thing for trees, especially creepy ones. I try to take pics wherever I go.
I’ll check out your part 2…
Doh! I just Tweeted about needing a working title cuz I did not see this cuz LJ Feed SUX!!! So I vote for:
~*Sparklepants*~
OR
Bessie
OR
Cute Fluffy Kitten
Your Choice. And BTW, when you’ve figured it out, I need a working title toooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! …Though I was thinking about NO END IN SIGHT because I have brainstormed just about everything but that pesky last third of teh book.
Can’t wait to see the movie with you. I’m going to wear my fangs … too bad they are fake ;)
New prizes for my title contest (because I believe in bribery and NaNoWriMo scares me, mostly the last one).
Third Time’s the Charm
or Sparklepants, obviously.
Angela: Thank you! I love tree pictures too. They rawk.
Emily: GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE. Also, omg, Cute Fluffy Kitten has some amazingly horrific possibilities, does it not? I wonder if I am brave enough to go there. WE SHOULD BRAINSTORM WORKING TITLES ~*TOGETHER*~.
Sruble: Ooh! Fangs! And I will be all decked out in my ~*sparkle suit*~. We will scare people and get prime seating!
LW: Heh, but should I go for the most obvious? ~*~
OMG, you’re wearing your ~*sparkle suit*~? I’m totally going to have to bedazzle my fangs, otherwise I will look very plain next to you.
Together, we will look ~*uber-sparkly*~ !
